A bill has been introduced into Congress that would require all states to recognize the concealed carry permits from other states – known as ‘national reciprocity’. Currently, someone can be told that a state honors other state’s concealed carry permits, but the information on the internet could be wrong and the person could end up in prison if caught with a concealed carry weapon. This bill would change that.
Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety and Gabby Giffords’ Americans for Responsible Solutions (ARS) are vowing to “spend what it takes” to defeat the national reciprocity legislation currently being considered by Congress.
The legislation–put forth in the House by Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC-8)–would treat concealed carry permits like a driver’s license, making a permit from one state valid in the other 49. This would free law-abiding citizens from the burdensome patchwork of concealed carry laws that presently result in carry permits being valid in some states, but not in others.
Michael Bloomberg is one of the wealthiest people in America and has billions of dollars to spend in his personal effort to strip every American of their Second Amendment rights. In fact, Bloomberg won’t stop until the Second Amendment is repealed and no American is legally allowed to own a gun.
