Three bullets were given to an Ohio intruder as beautifully, brass wrapped gifts after he entered one homeowner’s house through the doggie door. I guess he figured out a few seconds too late that he’d targeted the wrong home!
Around 5am the Miami County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman who thought someone had broken into her home. According to Lt. Eric Lachey, as she spoke to the dispatcher, her husband went into the garage and that is when he came face to face with the burglar. That is when he delivered the 3 swift bullets: one in the hand and two in the leg.
Bearing Arms reports:
The suspect was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he needed surgery to fix a shattered femur.
Police believe the intruder got in through a “doggie door.”
Lachey told Troy Daily News that this is the second time in the past few months this particular home has been broken into.
He also believes the suspect is behind a number of other incidents in the area, including multiple suspicious activity reports, and home and car break-ins.
There was no sign of forced entry, so Lachey said they believe that the male suspect entered the garage through a “doggie” door. He added, “We’re hoping that comes to an end now.”
