The Libertarian Party’s gubernatorial candidate has promised to overturn New Jersey gun control laws if elected.
Peter Rohrman, of Ramsey, said New Jersey has “some of the most oppressive gun control laws in the United States” that have turned “peaceful, law-abiding citizens into felons.”
Rohrman is a former Marine. He promised to eliminate restrictions on “concealed carry, magazine capacity, hollow point ammunition, transportation and firearms identification cards,” regulations. He wants to revert gun control laws back to the federal regulations.
Rohrman wants domestic abuse victims to be able to “arm themselves with something other than a restraining order.” He referenced the “tragic death” of Carol Bowne to support his position.
