Alabama – On Thursday, 36-year-old Bruce Rashad Moody broke into his ex-wife’s house by  kicking in the front door, after smashing the master bedroom window. He was armed with a  box cutter, and speculated to have wanted to cause harm out of jealousy.

Inezia Moody was inside with her three daughter and a visitor, Atlantis Jarmon.

Decatur police received a call of a shooting in the 100 block of Beard Street just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

When Moody made his way into the master bedroom, Jarmon began firing with a pistol, which killed him.

Responding officers found 36-year-old Bruce Rashad Moody inside the house, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Decatur’s Police Chief, Nate Allen, release this statement: “There is, in my opinion, a senseless death due to a domestic violence situation. We have to be very alert and very attentive to domestic violence and domestic violence prevention. That’s the only way I can really see us putting a dent in domestic violence homicides.”

While I see where the chief is coming from, the man would not have been fatally shot if he had n to broken in the house. That is completely on Moody.

Moody’s body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences lab for examination.

Since this case is believed to have been a case of  selff-defese, no charges are expected to be pressed. Good for him!
