In Weakley County, Tennessee, police are calling this fatal shooting a simple act of self-defense.

Captain Randall McGowan said that “Deputies responded to a home on Hyndsver Road around 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 23.”

They found Stephen Delauter, 45, dead in the upstairs bedroom of the house. He’d been shot.

Delauter pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic assault in September and there was an active order of protection in place to keep him from contacting his wife, Lee Ann Delauter.

The investigation revealed that Delauter, who was living near Rutherford, Tennessee, parked his vehicle about a half mile from Lee Ann Delauter’s home.

He then broke into the home and assaulted Lee Ann with a knife and fired more than one shot at her with a semi-automatic firearm, according to Captain McGowan.

However, Lee Ann Delauter was no rendered defenseless. She had her own gun in her bedroom. She shot back, hit, and killed him.

The case will be presented to the January Term of the Weakley County Grand Jury.

Don’t let yourself be caught in the cross hairs without a way to defend yourself. If you don’t already have one, go out and get a firearm now.

I don’t understand, how two people at one time so much in love could try to kill each other! The Bible says what God has joined together let no man put asunder but it is hard to believe that in many marriages God is within 100 miles of. I am just glad that the woman was able to defend herself and I hope there was no children involved. I recently read a story out of a suburb of Memphis where this woman was 140 pounds overweight she lost all of this weight and her husband got jealous they ended up separating they have two children. He asked her to meet him and she agreed an altercation ensued and he choked her to death he then drove her body out on Highway 64 which runs parallel basically to I 40 he then set her on fire and hoped no one would ever find her body she was so badly burned they had to use dental records and when he was arrested he confessed to the murder. Instead of being proud of her for losing the weight and encouraging her he begged her to get heavy again. It just seems like some men are so insecure in their manhood they resort to things like this. Thankfully, this woman had the foresight to buy her a gun and learn how to use it not like the second instance I just wrote about.

Restraining orders are worthless, unless you can back it up with a gun.

Good for her. She won’t have to worry about him again. Problem solved!
We NEVER go anywhere unarmed unless there is a metal detector present. Those insidious “Gun Free Zone” signs mean nothing to us. Not about to die because some idiot merchant or store chain CEO doesn’t understand guns and gun safety.
Stay armed, my friends, stay armed!

Do not spend your hard earned money in stores that disrespect (y)our rights. Let these store owners KNOW that you will not support their stores as long as they don’t respect your right to self defense!!!!!!!!!!

ONLY THEN will they think about the $$$$$$$$$$$ they will miss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If something DOES happen, I hope that those that are against firearm ownership SUE THE H3LL out of these businesses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY are RESPONSIBLE for (Y)OUR SAFETY!!!!!!!

Where is their security guard/metal detector?!?!?!?!

      Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

    WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Obviously he ignored that little useless piece of paper by BREAKING IN TO HER HOUSE!!

What’s the use of wasting the time to hear the FACTS in this case of B&E into her house??

Glad she had a firearm and was able to defend her life and get rid of one more piece of SCUM!

    Good shooting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
