Just a couple of weeks after the Orlando massacre, 32-year-old Jody Ray Thompson started shooting at others at another nightclub.

Fortunately, unlike Florida, permitted concealed handguns were allowed in bars in South Carolina.  Before he could shoot a fourth person, a permit holder was able shoot back, wounding Thompson in the leg.

Often it is claimed that citizens who stop mass public shootings don’t get news coverage because they stop anyone from being killed.  But in this case two people were killed before the permit holder was able to stop the attack:

A customer who fired back at the suspect who killed two people in a Ga. Highway 20 liquor store Sunday afternoon is being hailed as a hero.

Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett said at a press conference Monday that Todd C. Scott, 44, a resident of Covington, very likely prevented other customers in the store from losing their lives.

Levett said store video from Magnet Bottle Shop showed that the suspect, Jeffrey Scott Pitts, 36, came in the store Sunday afternoon firing a handgun.

“I believe that if Mr. Scott did not return fire at the suspect then more of those customers would have hit by a gun,” said [Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett]. “It didn’t appear that he cared who he shot or where he was shooting until someone was shooting back at him. So in my opinion he saved other lives in that store.”

FBI stats PROVE that every State that allows Concealed Carry Permits,,
the violent gun crimes go WAY down ! !

It’s just that the corrupt and unethical libT ard-commie media refuses to report it because it doesn’t fit their bullshiit anti-Constitution agenda

    • leadfoot320

They don’t want the news to get out! And a good guy with a gun, stops the killing before the death count is high enough to make national news!

    • Old Salt

Easy to analyze…when good guys with their guns take out violent criminals, it makes it harder for the commie bastards to take out their guns. They must control what you hear so you won’t hear any good gun stories. But, it’s like this…the dumb ass libs will NEVER remove the guns, it’s impossible, they’re made all over the world, you can’t stop it and they are going to exist no matter what the commies do…it just comes down to who’s going to have them and you can’t have mine. You lefties can’t stop the tons of drugs from coming in, what makes you think, when you can’t accomplish that, which is a hated thing, that you can keep the country safe from firearms smuggling, even if you did get guns banned? Try making sense for a change.

Someone once said an armed society is a polite society. As for concealed carry lowering crime, I can attest that having a sidearm available instantly saved my bacon twice over the years. Neither time was when I was wearing a badge. Once I had to fire the weapon, the last time I only had to present it to the would be attacker.

They are now advocating for the isosceles stance over the Weaver stance because it’s far easier to bring the weapon to the eye rather than the eye to the weapon. You get better control of the weapon. It’s easier to pivot to the opposite side as well.

Two times, just reaching for my weapon avoided me from having to pull it out. If I pull it, then most likely will use it. And this I am sure of. Too many evil folks are out there as evident from just watching the 6 o’clock Liberal slanted news reports. Heck, I try my best to stay out of places like Chicago and New York, Los Angeles,Memphis ,and the likes. But on occasion we find ourselves needing to go into the “city”. So, being prepared shouldn’t even be something that needs considering. Exercise the right to carry, and am hopping that Trump keeps his word on carry permits to be recognized in all 50 states, including Jersey and Hawaii, and Californica Which also means you could fly, being in checked baggage, of course!

There is example after example of armed citizens stopping crimes, but the media doesn’t report them for the same reason they said Clinton was going to win the election . . . they want everyone else to live in the same cloud cuckoo land they do, and reporting the truth would jeopardize that goal.

  • bobbylang

I live in New York State! In Westchester county! If you want to get a handgun to “Carry” you have to carry at least $7,500 around with you or its not going to happen!! The flawed rationale is the “powers that be” are convinced that by lowering the number of legal guns out there the number of problems will be also reduced ie: (X=Y X- X/5 =Y/5) simple right!!
Well its’ TOO simple, because of psychology!! If a criminal who has an illegal gun knows you are unarmed you are at his mercy!! BUT, if a criminal with an illegal gun is concerned you may be armed, he is much less likely to attempt an assault!!
Now, that’s a statistical fact, but the “powers that be ” are too dumb to acknowledge that reality!!

It’s not about logic, it’s about disarming the public and they’ll never admit to it out in the open or lose support for their insane desires.
