In a recent report about children killed by guns or wounded by them, if you read carefully, you will find an admission that the statistic used is misleading. The report was intended to promote more gun control and safety measures in homes because so many children are being killed and shot by guns, many in the home by accidents. But the statistic used for the number of child gun deaths and woundings includes young adults up to the age of 21.
When Kyrin Falcetti dropped her 4-year old son Cole off at the babysitter, she had no idea it would be the last time she’d see him.
One hour in, the young boy somehow got his hands on a loaded gun at the sitter’s house and shot himself to death.
“I don’t want to be burying my son,” Falcetti. “He didn’t do anything wrong.”
Cole’s babysitter shared a home with her fiancé who is a sheriff’s deputy in training…
That’s often the case with liberals pushing an agenda. They tend to misrepresent the facts in ways that sound justifiable, but not necessarily accurate. Most experts would not consider the gun deaths and woundings of 18 to 21-year-olds as child gun deaths. Most of these are not accidental but likely to gangs, suicide or crimes. If you take these gun deaths out of the picture, the true number of child gun deaths drops dramatically.
