An armed robber attacked a lone woman sitting in her vehicle outside of a Seminole, Florida Publix supermarket.

The robber, 49-year-old Bobby Martin Watson, was armed with a knife and attempted to rob the woman, 44-year-old Rosanna Lynn, of her purse. The two struggled over the purse, when the woman was wounded as Watson slashed her thigh and stabbed her in the stomach. The man then fled the scene, beating a hasty retreat since the robbery didn’t go quite the way he planned.

The struggle did not go unnoticed, two good Samaritan’s saw what was happening and tried to step in to help. Christopher McMann 44, of St. Petersburg tried to help the woman and gave chase to Watson. In his effort to stop the criminal from fleeing Watson stabbed McMann in the back and continued to flee toward a nearby shopping center. Despite the wound McMann continued to give chase and was actually joined by the a second good Samaritan, Travis Jones, 31, of Seminole.

As the two men continued to give chase a third man joined the pursuit. 40-year old Donald Rush of Pennsylvania grabbed his gun and began running after Watson as well. When the the first two men finally caught up and tackled Watson, McCann began slicing wildly in the air, stabbing Jones in the abdomen as they struggled.

It was at this point that Rush arrived disarming Watson and holding the man at gunpoint until the police FINALLY arrived. The three innocent victims were all taken to the hospital where their injuries were treated, meanwhile Watson was arrested and he faces charges of robbery and three counts of aggravated battery.
