This isn’t suspicious at all….*sarcasm*

A South Carolina man went missing on June 1 and his family is pleading for any information the pubic may have on his whereabouts.

David Oakley’s car was found near mile marker 30 on I-85, but the battery was dead due to his flashers being left on for an extended amount of time. Later that day, his family reported him missing.

They said that the last time they’d heard from him was on May 31, the day before he went missing. He’s been MIA since then.

Now there is a police report from Anderson Police Department stating that Oakley’s voicemail has been changed to one in Spanish and goes straight to voicemail when called. Usually that indicated that the phone is off. His phone did not have a SIM card according to his family.

Fox Carolina reports:

“It’s the basic automated greeting that just somehow got swapped over to Spanish,” said Lt. David Creamer with the Anderson Police Department.

A missing persons report has been filed with Anderson police.

“There are a few leads that have come in and our investigators are working those as they come in,” Creamer said.

Benny Whitten, a neighbor of Oakley’s, said he was shocked by his disappearance.

“He’s a hard-working guy, a fun-loving guy, courteous, good to his mom,” Whitten said.

Anyone who sees or hears from Oakley is asked to contact Investigator Garland Major with the at the Anderson Police Department at 864-844-3061.

Praying for Oakley to be found safely and brought back home to his family alive.
