Wednesday morning there were confirmed shots fired outside of Capitol Hill. This comes less than 24 hours after the White House was on lockdown.
A driver allegedly hit a Capitol Police cruiser, and then proceeded to attempt to cut over other officers on foot.
According to ABC News:
At some point, Capitol Police apparently fired shots but no one was struck.
The individual has been taken into custody.

The person used a vehicle to attempt to strike officers in the 100 block of Independence Ave, D.C. police said. The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m.
Capitol Hill police then fired shots at the individual, who was taken into custody near Third Street Southwest and Independence Avenue Southwest, D.C. police said.
