Say goodbye to Tomi Lahren as she appeared on The Blaze, because she has been given the boot.
Tomi Lahren has been a conservative icon for some time now. I, myself, have defended her many a times when she was being attacked by my liberal acquaintances. Never had I heard her say something that I did not agree with.
However, that day has come. As many people have seen, Tomi was interviewed on The View. We all watched in anticipation as we expected her to battle the liberal ladies, and really stick it to them. What we got was something else entirely.
Lahren, 24, was suspended from The Blaze last week following an appearance on The View where the fiery millennial officially came out as “pro-choice.” She claimed it was hypocritical for conservatives to simultaneously hold pro-life and limited government views.
Lahren stated that she is pro-choice and that conservatives who are pro-life are hypocrites for wanting a small government but still wanting to end abortion.
Her exact quote was:
“I am a constitutional, y’know, someone that loves the Constitution. I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies. I can sit here and say that, as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”
I disagree with her though. As conservatives, we do want a small government. However, wanting to end abortion does not make us hypocrites. Abortion is murder. It is not wrong to want to end the murder of 3 million unborn children a year.
