Tears of joy fell late Thursday evening as the Georgia senate passed the medical marijuana bill . This could result in many new medical break throughs, and also help ease the pain of people with ailments, with which cannabis oils can help.

Others are celebrating the campus carry bill, which will allow students to legally protect themselves on campus, with their 2nd Amendment rights.

Many bills were up in the air for Sine Die Day, which means “without a day” in latin. It is day 40,  of the Ga Legislative Session, which is only allowed to meet 40 days a year, per law.

Early Friday morning, Georgia lawmakers gave final passage to a measure legalizing guns on the state’s public colleges and university campuses, sending it to Governor Nathan Deal for his signature.

The controversial adoption bill failed in the last minutes.

Just after 12:30 p.m., the Senate passed the expanded medical marijuana bill. The bill will expand the program to cover patients suffering from severe forms of autism, AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease and Tourette’s syndrome. Patients in hospice programs, no matter their diagnosis, would also be allowed access cannabis oil.
