There is something to be said for Americans and their uncanny ability to see directly through a good portion of the barnyard excrement being thrown their way.

We’ve been stubborn and righteous for centuries, never being afraid of having to call someone out on their shenanigans.  This is one of the many reasons why Donald Trump has struck such a nerve with patriotic Americans everywhere, having bucked the Washington establishment and the status quo from the onset of his political career.

It’s also this incredible ability to detect the manure levels within our political system that keeps Americans just a bit angry, but I mean that in the most cordial of ways.  That tiny chip on our shoulder is what keeps us on our toes and in the zone.

And it is this beautiful, angsty characteristic that has us laughing off the petulant “anger” of David Hogg, and ignoring his calls to boycott Laura Ingraham’s television program.

In fact, Hogg’s attention may have had a wonderful little windfall for Ms. Ingraham.

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham was recently the victim of a leftist boycott campaign. Which was spearheaded by our favorite chinless anti-gun crusader, Lil’ Davey Hogg. The Hoggster managed to make Ingraham bleed sponsors in the hope of unpersoning her from the airwaves.

Welp, I’ve got bad news for Dave. Not only was the boycott ineffective, Laura actually gained a whole crap ton of viewers:

A funny thing has happened since the Left began its campaign to drive Fox News host Laura Ingraham off the air: Her ratings are up, a lot — by more than 20 percent compared to her last week on the air before the current controversy began.

Ingraham’s viewers apparently feel the same way. Since Ingraham returned from vacation on April 9, total viewership of her program has averaged about 2.7 million (Monday through Thursday; Friday’s numbers are not available).

Hogg has been an increasing prevalent character in the left’s cabal of anti-gun shamans, who have been working to conjure political motion from bleeding heart emotion.

Most notably, Hogg has been a divisive figure on the left after appearing to hold some Fascist beliefs, particularly when it came time to give a speech at the “March For Our Lives” event he helped to create.

Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg is being compared to Hitler after various videos emerged online with the Nazi leader’s voice dubbed over footage of the teenager speaking at the March for our Lives rally.

The videos, which have been posted on YouTube and played by Infowars, Breitbart and other far-right media sites, used footage of the 17-year-old speaking to the crowds of protesters in Washington on Saturday.

Hitler’s voice from one of his 1930s rally speeches has been edited into the videos and also features crowds of Nazi supporters cheering.

As it turns out, Americans began to see through Hogg before he could do any real damage.  Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some Laura Ingraham on the DVR to catch up with.
