A Colorado man acted on his second amendment rights and shot someone who entered his home on Saturday night. However, after shooting, he realized that the “intruder” was actually his son. He allegedly did not know it was his son until he shot him six times… least that is what he claims.

Daily Caller reports:

Frank Leo Huner Jr., 58, called local authorities to notify them that he had shot someone who entered his residence, according to WTOL.

The Dispatcher reportedly said during the call, “RP [Reporting party] is saying he shot someone who came into his house. Now saying it’s his son, and he’s dead.”

Huner also reportedly told the emergency dispatcher that he shot his son approximately six times.

The son, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead soon after.

The father was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. After posting a $50,000 bond, he was released, according to Fox.

Neighbors reportedly say they are very surprised by the arrest. Many call Huner a “good, decent man” who owns and works at an automobile repair shop, WTOL reports.

Law enforcement officials say the charges could be altered as the investigation continues and details gradually unfold.

My question is, how did he not realize it was his son? For this to happen and him honestly not know, there is no way he yelled out and said anything. He did not warn the “intruder” nor even ask who was there. Also, if this was the case, was there no lighting at all? Why did he shoot six times?

There are so many unanswered questions here.
