A North Carolina gun-rights group is pushing hard for a dazzling lapse in good judgment and common sense called “Constitutional Carry.”
If passed, House Bill 69 would allow anyone to carry concealed weapons in North Carolina without a permit.
That means no training required, as state law currently requires.
Just lock and load. It’s your birthright.
But wait. There’s more. … Constitutional Carry isn’t the only gun bill being considered in North Carolina.
House Bill 251, sponsored by Rep. Kyle Hall, a Republican from King, would allow concealed-carry permit holders to bring their handguns into UNC system and North Carolina community college campus classrooms. Rep. Bert Jones, a Rockingham County Republican, is a co-sponsor.
