In the turbulent and worrisome wake of the Parkland, Florida Valentine’s Day massacre, a number of characters, both old and new, raced to find themselves directly in the limelight.
These culture vultures circle the carrion of our nation with a stealthy, sweeping crescendo of aim. Before the first grave is dug they will have descended, with the distinct and putrid stench of death about them. And when they finally set their crooked beaks to work, they tear the ligaments from the liberty we are granted at birth in this nation.
Among the scavengers of the Parkland tragedy were a number of liberal pundits from the trenches of the mainstream media, which was very much expected. Then came Parkland survivor David Hogg – a well spoken young man who had no problem taking the spotlight after 16 of his classmates were slaughtered.
Hogg, a bleeding heart liberal, became the media darling within hours of the tragedy. It took several weeks for the true story of Hogg’s Valentine’s Day to be revealed, calling into question whether or not the young man was even present at school at the time of the shooting.
Now Hogg is making headlines again, claiming that he’ll be taking a year off between high school and college in hopes of “working” on the midterm elections.
David Hogg has been accepted at the University of California, Irvine, “but he will not be going to college this year because he’s decided to take a year off and work on the midterm elections,” his mother, Rebecca Boldrick, told CNN Monday. She said her son hopes to register and educate new voters and to “get people to vote.”Hogg’s college aspirations made national headlines last month when Fox News host Laura Ingraham mocked him on Twitter over a report that he had been rejected by at least three universities to which he had applied. (He was accepted by several others.)
