The nation was shocked by the shooting of House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise (R-LA) as he was practicing for a charity baseball game with others. Immediately, anti-gun fanatics began calling for more gun control. Like many do, one liberal reporter took to Twitter where he listed what was wrong with Virginia’s gun laws. However, everything he posted was wrong, as corrected by another, more knowledgeable reporter.

Before Majority Whip Scalise’s office had the opportunity to make an announcement on his condition, gun control advocates took to Twitter to call for stricter gun laws. Shocker, right?

One gun control advocate, in particular, The Atlantic’s David Frum, tried explaining Virgina’s gun laws.

Most anti-gun fanatics resort to bogus and false statements in order to sell their anti-American agenda. What they do fail to do is report the truth about the many facts that show what more gun control results in higher crime rates, but areas with fewer gun control laws generally have lower crime rates because too many people are armed and criminal get shot.
