California is probably THE most liberal state in the nation. Among other things, it is filled with anti-American, anti-Second Amendment liberals who still believe that the only way to stop mass shootings and reduce gun violence is to pass ultra-strict gun control laws. However, they forget that criminals and would-be criminals don’t abide by the law, as was the case with the shooter at the UPS warehouse in San Francisco. He stole the guns he used.
California has universal background checks, gun registration requirements, gun confiscation laws, a ten-day waiting period on gun purchases, an “assault weapons” ban, a “good cause” requirement for concealed carry, and a high-profile shooting that garners national attention two or three times a year.
The latest occurred on June 14 in San Francisco, where a UPS employee pulled out a gun during “a company meeting” and opened fire, killing three innocents.
Moms Demand Action was quick to post news of the incident on its Facebook page–another high-profile shooting it can use to push for more gun control. However, to be honest, the only gun controls California has yet to pass are a ban on semi-automatic guns and/or an outright ban on gun ownership…
The year after Australia banned most gun ownership, violent crimes skyrocketed. Illinois and Chicago has strict gun control laws and shootings and murders are rampant. Baltimore has strict gun control laws and has seen their fair share of gun related crimes. San Francisco has very strict gun control laws, like in so many other locations, those laws only affect law-abiding citizens, not the people who commit the crimes.
