In 1754, a 23-year-old British officer led his troops into the Ohio Valley to confront the French. He met a bunch of Indians and French and a battle ensued. The tall British officer (who stood nearly 6’3”) had his horse shot out from under him and he had several bullet holes in his jacket, but he was unscathed. The Indian chief who opposed him said that the Great One (God) was truly protecting the officer and predicted that he would never be killed in battle. The young statuesque officer was George Washington.
Move forward some 220 years to a rapper known as Yung Mazi. Over several years, he had survived 10 different shootings. Surviving so many shootings, convinced the rapper that God had made him bulletproof and he boasted of the fact.
Over the weekend, Mazi learned that he wasn’t bulletproof, although he didn’t have long to think about it, when he was shot and killed as he was leaving a restaurant in Georgia.
An Atlanta rapper who called himself “bulletproof” after surviving 10 shootings was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman Sunday evening in DeKalb County, Ga., according to officials.
Yung Mazi — who had collaborated with big-name artists such as Rich Homie Quan and Yung Thug — was gunned down in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office said.
The shooting occurred at around 8:55 p.m. when the rapper appeared to be leaving the Urban Pie Pizza restaurant…
It generally happens when someone gets cocky or feels invincible that they find out otherwise. I guess Mazi never heard that pride goes before a fall. Besides, it’s not in God’s nature to make anyone bulletproof and to claim He did, is asking for just what he got.
