California has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, but one California liberal Democrat, State Senator Scott Wiener, of San Francisco, says last week’s shooting at the UPS facility was due to the lack of gun control laws. Wiener is blinded by his liberal ideology to realize that the real cause is a society in decay.

Last Wednesday, 38-year-old Jimmy Lam was dressed in his brown UPS uniform at a UPS sorting warehouse in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, when he pulled out a gun and opened fire on co-workers. That UPS warehouse employs 350 people, but fortunately, only 3 were killed and two others wounded before Lam turned his gun on himself, ending the shooting rampage.

The three UPS employees that never made it home that day were 46-year-old Michael Lefiti, 50-year-old Benson Louie and 56-year-old Wayne Chan, all of who were fellow UPS drivers. I join the rest of the nation in praying for the families of three slain people who never thought their lives would end that day at work.

UPS issued an official statement, reading:

“The company is saddened and deeply concerned about affected employees, family members and the community we share. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by this incident.” …

Those strict gun control laws also did nothing to prevent the senseless shooting of Kathryn Steinle on a San Francisco pier. She died in her dad’s arms after an illegal alien that was protected by San Francisco’s sanctuary city status.
