Californian continues to turn toward overt liberal neo-Fascism in recent months, with yet another piece of proposed legislation looking to limit citizen access to free speech.

This time, The Golden State is looking to make a direct hit on the idea dissenting opinions of the press by requiring any news outlets in the state to have their information verified by officially sanctioned fact checkers.

This is the entire bill:

This bill would require any person who operates a social media, as defined, Internet Web site with a physical presence in California to develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Web site. The bill would require the plan to include, among other things, a plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories, the utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories, providing outreach to social media users, and placing a warning on a news story containing false information.

Item “(a)” is particularly disturbing, insinuating that Twitter or Facebook users could receive punishment for simply sharing an online article that they themselves had not fact checked.

This is absolutely absurd.  It is beyond reproach.  This is the “sanctioned speech” that we admonish other nations for.  When we snicker at North Korea or Russia for their “state run media” outlets, this is exactly what we are warning against.

Without a swift kibosh on this entire ethos, free speech in America will soon be dead and gone, and lying in its throne will be whichever opportunist dictator gets to the finish line first.

He who controls the facts will soon control the media, and you had best believe that the left is gunning for this enviable position with everything they’ve got.  They have already recruited Snopes.com into the fold, turning the internet urban legend encyclopedia into a political powerhouse overnight, handing the keys to our democracy over to the website that we turn to in order to settle barroom arguments.

The time to take America back from this liberal fascism is fast approaching.  Are you ready?
