Chicago residents who legally want to purchase a firearm has a bunch of hoops they have to jump through in order to get their firearm. Illinois has a bunch of gun control laws that one has to meet first. Then Cook County has their additional gun control laws that have to be met and then Chicago has even more gun control ordinances. A legal gun purchaser has to clear all three hurdles.

Yet, Chicago is still the gun violence capital of the United States with some weekends seeing as many as 70 shootings and multiple people killed. Police have admitted that the bulk of the shootings are gang related and the guns are obtained illegally, but in the true sense of an Obamanite Democrat, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is calling for more gun control.

(Breitbart) – Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) is responding to the failure of gun control in Chicago by encouraging Illinois residents to urge Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) to institute more gun control.

Trending: BREAKING: Kavanaugh Accuser May NOT Show Up to Thursday Hearing (Details)

Chicago has been the epicenter of gun violence in America for years, a gun control experiment gone wrong.

From 1982 to 2010 Chicago had a total ban on handgun ownership. The city’s murder rate skyrocketed under the ban–over 900 homicides per year were recorded in the early 1990s–proving criminals had guns whether the firearms were legal or not.

That ban is gone, but law-abiding citizens who wish to get a handgun for home defense have to acquire a state-issued Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card. That card allows an Illinois resident, including Chicago residents, to have buy a gun for self-defense but it does not allow them to carry the gun on the person. The law-abiding Chicago resident with a FOID card has to go through the requirements and pay the fees for a concealed carry permit in order to carry a gun on his person for self-defense…

Emanuel is boldly putting his stupidity and blindness on display for all to see. Does he really expect gang member to obey more gun control laws when they don’t obey or follow the ones already in existence? He needs to focus on gangs and a generation who has no hope and no future since they have no God to look up to. Emanuel’s solution is like throwing a bucket of water on a gas fire when he needs to go to the source of the fire and turn off the gas.
