Most cities, counties and states have laws making it illegal to shoot a gun inside city limits or within a certain distance of other homes or streets. However, in some cities, there still seems to be some completely irresponsible people who still shoot their guns in the city and around the homes of others. They shoot into the air, failing to understand that the bullets still have to come down somewhere and they can severely injure and kill people when they do come down.

The Louisville Alderman and Board of Mayor have plans to discuss an ordinance to address the problem in their city, by looking into the noise factor, without trying to infringe on the gun rights of anyone.

(The Daily Times) – The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will discuss an ordinance next month about firearms and noise, Mayor Tom Bickers said.

Bickers said the ordinance will not be anti-gun but will concern public safety.

“People have complained about shooting,” he said. “It is about safety and noise. There are probably 50 to 100 rounds fired every day, or every other day, in one particular area of the community. People have also said bullets are falling near their homes, and/or (hitting) their homes.

“This involves making sure firearms are used safely, and that one person’s use of the firearm doesn’t unreasonably impact another person’s right to enjoy his or her property,” Bickers said.

“We also do want to make sure we are not infringing on any individual’s constitutional rights.” …

Anyone who is that irresponsible to be shooting guns in the city and around others should be arrested. They are endangering others and have demonstrated that they are not responsible enough to own a firearm. As much as I’m against gun control, these idiots should not have guns.
