Arizona Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema (D) has been making headlines recently, but not in a good way.

Like, at all.

First, Sinema’s opponent, Rep. Martha McSally (R), released a commercial showing how Sinema used to protect criminals who had sex with child prostitutes.

Now, Sinema has been busted for circulating flyers showing U.S. troops as zombie-like terrorist slaughterers of innocents.

No joke.

From Daily Wire:

Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema smeared U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq and the Middle East in 2003 while she led a far-left activist group that passed out flyers portraying American soldiers as skeletons committing “U.S. terror.”

CNN reports that Sinema’s demonization of American soldiers came at approximately the same point in time “when she ran for state and local office as an independent affiliated with the Green Party and was viewed as one of the most progressive activists in Arizona.”

It is also noted that Sinema took money from founders of alleged sex trafficking websites.

From The Daily Wire:

Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema fought to protect criminals who had sex with child prostitutes and later took tens of thousands of dollars from the founders of an alleged sex trafficking website.

The revelation of Sinema’s disturbing views was made in an ad targeting her that recently aired which showed her downplaying the seriousness of child prostitution because, according to her, “some of these children look older than me.”

Local Arizona media fact-checked the ad and found that it was true and also found that Sinema’s defense of her voting record was misleading.

AZ Central notes that Sinema accepted, then quietly gave back, $33,800 from a prominent Democrat donor who “has come under scrutiny after a male escort died of a drug overdose at his California home last year.”

More:

For Sinema, it is at least the second round of campaign cash cleansing in less than a year. In April, she donated to charity $53,400, the amount she received from those with ties to Backpage.com, a website that authorities say knowingly accepting ads offering sex with underage girls.

The latest problem involves the death of Gemmel Moore, a 26-year-old homeless man whom the Los Angeles Times described as a male escort who overdosed in Buck’s West Hollywood apartment in July.

In November, Sinema’s campaign gave $18,800 to UMOM New Day Center, a charity to help the homeless. At the same time, her Getting Stuff Done political-action committee also gave UMOM $15,000.

McSally is leading Sinema in the polls, per The Hill:

It is McSally’s first lead in the poll that comes just under eight weeks before the midterm elections.

The poll shows McSally overtaking Sinema with 49 percent of the likely vote compared to Sinema’s 46 percent, a difference that falls within the margin of error. Sinema had led by 6 points in the poll earlier this year.

Both candidates enjoy positive favorability ratings by similar margins. McSally has a 49-39 favorable/unfavorable rating, and Sinema has a 47-38 favorable/unfavorable rating.
