Over the past few years, a number of anti-gun liberals continue to characterize gun owners as white males and gun ownership as a white privilege issue. Perhaps in some parts of the nation that may be true but not for the nation as a whole.

To begin with, many gun stores around the country have been reporting an increase in sales to women. Some firearm training centers have also noticed a big increase in the number of women signing up for firearm classes, many as a requirement to obtain their concealed carry permit.

However, one of the fastest growing demographic groups of people are not white males or even white females but are in fact black American women.

Trending: BREAKING: Kavanaugh Accuser May NOT Show Up to Thursday Hearing (Details)

(WRAL) – African-American woman are one of the fastest growing demographics of gun owners in the country and they currently make up more than half of the membership for the National African American Gun Association, according to data provided by the group.

“No question about it, black women are the driving force in our organization,” said Philip Smith, who founded NAAGA in 2015. “They are 60 percent of our membership nationwide, and those numbers are pretty consistent.”

According to a recent study from the Crime Prevention Research Center, the number of women and black residents who have concealed carry permits in North Carolina has been on the rise in recent years.

According to the CPRC, North Carolina women holding permits increased from 21 percent in 2012 to 29 percent in 2017…

One has to wonder if this could change the political climate on gun control. Most, not all, but most black Americans are Democrats and it’s the Democrats who are pushing gun control. If more black American women are buying guns and most of them are Democrats, the voter climate and even some of the polls, could begin to swing away from gun control. If only this was true.
