Strict gun control laws were enforced but failed to prevent the shooting at a Waffle House in Antioch Tennessee.

The suspected shooter had his firearms confiscated by Illinois authorities a year ago. They also revoked his FOID Card, which every gun owner in the state is required to have. This is what is being pushed elsewhere in the nation to help prevent firearm violence.

In this case, the 4 guns were returned to the suspect’s father who promised authorities he would not give them back to his son. Evidently, the father lied, because it was one of those guns that Travis Reinking used to shoot and kill 4 people and wound 2 others at the Waffle House (a gun free zone).

(WGLT) – The Tazewell County sheriff says Travis Reinking’s state firearms card was revoked last year by state police, but his guns were given to his father with the promise that they wouldn’t be shared with his son.

Police in Tennessee are searching for the 29-year-old Reinking, saying he’s suspected of fatally shooting four people at a Nashville restaurant early Sunday. The Metro Nashville Police Department says arrest warrants charging Reinking with murder have been issued. Police say Reinking was from Morton but moved to Nashville in 2017.

Sheriff Robert Huston in Tazewell County said his department has “no information” on how Reinking got the weapons again. Huston said Reinking’s father has a valid firearm ownership card, and his officers didn’t believe they had any authority to seize the weapons. He said the father agreed to “keep the weapons secure and out of the possession of Travis.” …

The same gun control system that so many liberals are pushing for failed in three ways to prevent the murders in Tennessee. The suspects FOID Card was revoked meaning he wasn’t legally allowed to own a gun in Illinois. The guns were confiscated but returned to dad who promised not to give the to his son and lastly, Waffle House has a corporate gun free policy which means that no one is allowed to have a gun on the premises. Gun control and liberalism FAILED 3 times showing that crazy people and criminals don’t abide by such laws.
