In a move that shocked many and brought criticism and disbelief from others, Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA), called US Attorney General Jeff Sessions and asked him to withhold taxpayer money from local and state governments that infringe on the constitutional rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.

A growing number of cities, counties and states are passing more and more anti-Second Amendment ordinances, rules, regulations and laws that continually infringe on the Second Amendment rights of American citizens. Gottlieb believes that if these governments are not going to honor the Constitution then they should not be getting federal money collected from American taxpayers.

(Liberty Park Press) – In a move sure to raise eyebrows, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to “withhold funds from any local or state government that adopts policies that infringe on the right of citizens to keep and bear arms.”

“The liberal municipal governments of such cities as New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle, and states including New Jersey, Connecticut, California and Massachusetts should not be receiving taxpayer funds while violating the constitutional rights of those taxpayers,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb in a news release. “It is ironic that all of those places are willing to spend millions of dollars to attack the rights of gun owners, when they should be protecting civil and constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment.”

The announcement comes on the heels of a federal judge’s decision in Massachusetts last week to dismiss a challenge of that state’s ban on so-called “assault weapons.” U.S. District Judge William Young, according to The Hill, said that “the firearms and large magazines banned by the state in 1998 are “not within the scope of the personal right to ‘bear Arms’ under the Second Amendment.” …

Can you imagine what would happen if the Trump administration were allowed to withhold taxpayer money from every government (local, county and state) that violated the Constitutional rights of the people? they would lose money over gun control laws, over abortions (murdering of innocent children) and over protecting illegal aliens, to name but a few. Many of these governments would quickly find themselves flat broke.
