The mainstream media has been succeeding in their anti-gun propaganda campaign where they are trying to convince as many people, businesses and politicians to take action to impose more gun control policies and laws.

In the past week, Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods have announced they will not sell any guns or ammo to anyone under the age of 21. Dick’s also said they are immediately stopping the sale of all assault-style weapons and ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

Local gun shop owners in Vermont are referring to the officials at Dick’s as being a ‘bunch of cowards’ for bowing to the pressure of the liberal media.

Trending: BREAKING: Kavanaugh Accuser May NOT Show Up to Thursday Hearing (Details)

(Burlington Free Press) – Corrections & Clarifications: A sentence was added to make more clear that Dick’s Sporting Goods announced that Field & Stream stores will no longer sell assault-style weapons.

Local gun shop owners dismissed Dick’s Sporting Goods’ decision Wednesday to stop selling assault-style weapons across all its stores as irrelevant at best.

“They’re a bunch of cowards,” said Jim Dattilio, owner of Dattilio’s Guns & Tackle in South Burlington. “They’ve caving. They want to look good to all the soccer moms who won’t let their kids go into the store to buy soccer cleats and Under Armour garments.”

Dick’s, the nation’s largest sports goods retailer, ended the sale of assault-style weapons at its main stores in 2012 after the Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, but was still selling the weapons at its 35 Field & Stream stores, which specialize in hunting and outdoors products. Those weapons sales at Field & Stream will now end, according to the Wednesday announcement…

Some conservatives are already calling for boycotts of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmarts for their cowardly actions that have been made more out of emotional peer pressure than on logic and understanding what the real solution is. If these stores really want to help reduce school shootings, they should offer discounts to teachers and faculty members who complete the training and obtain their conceal carry permits.
