When it comes to the ever-blurring line between politics and entertainment, Americans are becoming buried under a mountain of pathetic publicity stunts.
These have, as with everything else in the liberal playbook, been amplified immensely by the election of Donald Trump as President. The left is radicalizing now more swiftly than ever, meaning that their political rhetoric has taken a turn for the absurd.
Believe it or not, Kathy Griffin’s ridiculous beheading stunt wasn’t the end of the “resistance” death imagery of President Trump, with rapper Snoop Dogg doubling down on his own hatred of The Donald on an album cover some months later.
The fact that a CNN personality could go from doing standup comedy to creating ISIS propaganda is proof that this leftist radicalization is accelerating.
Now, former Governor of California and staunch democrat Arnold Schwarzenegger is similar taking a leap of tactics, attempting to sue the fossil fuel industry for murder.
“The former California governor and global environmental activist announced the move Sunday at a live recording of POLITICO’s Off Message podcast here at the SXSW festival, revealing that he’s in talks with several private law firms and preparing a public push around the effort.
“’This is no different from the smoking issue. The tobacco industry knew for years and years and years and decades, that smoking would kill people, would harm people and create cancer, and were hiding that fact from the people and denied it. Then eventually they were taken to court and had to pay hundreds of millions of dollars because of that,’ Schwarzenegger said. ‘The oil companies knew from 1959 on, they did their own study that there would be global warming happening because of fossil fuels, and on top of it that it would be risky for people’s lives, that it would kill.’
“Schwarzenegger said he’s still working on a timeline for filing, but the news comes as he prepares to help host a major environmental conference in May in Vienna.”
Of course, this comes just a few years after Leonardo DiCaprio, a fellow Tinseltown twerp, spoke to the United Nations regarding “climate change” – something that a lengthy and luxurious Hollywood career has apparently prepared him for.
Schwarzenegger went on to say that automobiles should all be forced to display warning labels about their emissions, similar to the Surgeon General’s warning on cigarettes.
