Yesterday, we told you about former Vice President Joe Biden’s recent visit to NBC’s Today Show where he was showered with praise and faces mostly softball questions.
We also told you about the one question that Biden seemed unprepared for, and correspondingly, he went on to flub as he dissembled and muttered his way through a few platitudes.
In that piece we focused mostly on Biden’s inability to defend gun control, and his revealing statement about laws not being able to stop such terrible events. Today, we want to direct your attention to another segment of his response, one where he pats himself on the back for passing irrelevant and useless gun control laws, while simultaneously seeming to argue that the hero in the Texas church shooting should not have been carrying the gun that he stopped the massacre with.
It really is some incredibly dense commentary from Biden, but then again… it is Joe Biden. He is known for his incredibly dense commentary.
“Well, first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying. Assault weapons are . . . I wrote the last serious gun control law that was written and was law for 10 years, and it outlawed assault weapons and it outlawed weapons with magazines that had a whole lot of bullets and so you can kill a whole lot of people a lot more quickly.”

It doesn’t matter how often I watch this segment of his interview, I continue to be awed by Biden’s lack of self-awareness and his complete embrace of illogical gun control measures.
