There is no doubt at all that we are living in a divisive time in America, particularly when it comes to our political spectrum.

For the most part, having a healthy discourse is one of the most cogent ways in which we can express our multitude of freedoms.  The First Amendment is proof positive of that, and, despite all that I loathe about the liberal media, I would never consider the possibility of press that wasn’t free.  While I’m clearly a little biased about the way America handles the publication of political opinion, I do believe in what our Founding Fathers knew to be true about the ability to openly speak, well or poorly, about any political entity we choose.

This, of course, has led to the polarization that I alluded to earlier, wherein the media has become increasingly disparate from one another.  Given the importance of the battle, I can truthfully say that these oft-vitriolic and sensational sources will continue to mutate in absurdity in the coming years, but not before we realize the power of the silent conservative force in America.

We are just now starting to see this awakening, as technology creeps into the more established generations of our nation.  The demographics of the interconnected world are changing, and with it, so is the content that the media values.

For instance, when Tim Allen’s sitcom “Last Man Standing” was taken off the air, the American conservative viewer was outraged.  They were watching the show, and keeping it afloat certainly through its ratings, but parent company ABC has a long history of erring on the side of the liberal ethos.  (Just look at Disney and ESPN; two ABC family entities).

Rejoice, my television-watching friends, because Fox is here to save the day.

“Last Man Standing” was resurrected at Fox for Season 7 on Friday after ABC canceled the popular show.

The show’s original cast, including Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Jonathan Adams, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders and Jordan Masterson, will also return.

“Excited?” asked Allen in a statement sent to Fox News. “Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from Fox that it’s time to get back out on that diamond – hell yes, I’m excited!

“When I heard the offer to create more episodes of ‘Last Man Standing,’ I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out. It’s the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show.

“And a fist pump, ouch, for Dana Walden and Gary Newman at Fox for not only listening to the fans but for making the bold move to bring ‘Last Man Standing’ back. I’m sure audiences will be curious to see what we look like after all these years. Oh, has it only been one year? Well, just goes to show you – a lot can happen in a year.”

We have the nation’s patriots to thank for this, that is undeniable.

The stink raised about the show’s previous cancelation wafted far and wide until the media, as a whole, was forced to respond.  Now if that would only work for the stink raising from the CNN building in Atlanta…
