It is wholly unfathomable, yet entirely predictable, for the liberal left to turn the recent tragedy in Florida into a political talking point.
Worse still is the fact that they are completely exploiting those who perished and those who lost loved ones in order to indoctrinate Americans into their anti-gun lunacy.
One needn’t look any further than Chicago, Illinois to understand the absolute idiocy of pushing an anti-gun agenda in our great nation. The Windy City has only recently rescinded their 1982 handgun ban, allowing the poorly conceived legislation run its course for an unfathomable 32 years before finally throwing in the towel.
Now, even 4 years after the reversal, Chicagoans are still under the thumb of thugs and wannabe gangsters who patrol the streets with impunity and illegal firearms.
The bottom line is, and always will be, that you cannot eradicate guns from America. The 2nd Amendment is far more important than any living American even realizes, having been installed in a time that none of us can truly understand. Should that time come again, and we are unarmed, the atrocities of the 20th and 21st centuries will pale in comparison to what a tyrannical dictator could achieve here.
Yet, still, the left pushes for a total removal of guns from American society – a foolish move being touted by some of the biggest names in liberal thought.
One such leftist promoting the idea is Jimmy Kimmel; late night host and anti-Trump stalwart whose constant emotional charade is grating to a vast majority of Americans.
“Kimmel’s comments came toward the end of a teary-eyed monologue in which he demanded more gun ‘laws, real laws,’ but could not describe how such a law would work to prevent the kind of deadly shooting that occurred this week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
“It followed a tirade in which he tried to shame House Republicans into supporting gun control by describing them as ‘allegedly Christian men and women who stuff their pockets with money from the NRA’ and in which he tried to shame the executive branch by suggesting that President Trump is ‘mentally ill’ if he will not restrict everyone’s gun rights over the criminal act of Nikolas Cruz.”
Worse yet, Kimmel attempted a bit of semantic brainwashing as well, playing off of a Trumpian disdain for the status quo in Washington by daftly including the “swamp” analogy in his tirade.
“’Tell these congressmen and lobbyists who infest that swamp you said you were going to drain, force these allegedly Christian men and women who stuff their pockets with money from the NRA year after year after year to do something,’ Kimmel said. ‘Now, not later. Now. And don’t you dare let anyone say it’s too soon to be talking about it, because you said it after Vegas, you said it after Sandy Hook, you say that after every one of these eight now fatal school shootings we had in this country this year. Children are being murdered.’”
Once again, it looks as though we will be forced to suffer through the pedantic and petulant pontification of the progressive pinheads as we mourn this horrific tragedy.
