Among the numerous bizarre stories surrounding the tumultuous presidential election of 2016, none is stranger, or more damning, than the death of Seth Rich.
Rich was a DNC staffer regarded by many to be the link between the corrupt and incorrigible organization and Wikileaks – a whistleblower website that published an enormous trove of Democratic campaign emails from the desk of John Podesta.
Podesta was, of course, in charge of the Hillary Clinton campaign at the time, and the emails received by Wikileaks outlined an incredibly elaborate bit of collusion between the former First Lady and the supposedly unbiased DNC.
Soon after the leak occurred, Seth Rich was dead from a gunshot would suffered during a “botched robbery”. The only problem is that nothing was taken from Rich in the incident, and his body was recovered with his phone, wallet, and watch present. This has led a great many Americans to suspect that Rich was the victim of a Clinton-initiated hit.
Now, a man who has been investigating this possibility has been targeted for assassination himself, having been shot and struck with a vehicle by a former Marine.
“A former Marine, who claims to have worked as a special agent with the Department of Energy, has been charged with shooting and running over Republican lobbyist Jack Burkman, who conducted a controversial investigation of former DNC staffer Seth Rich’s murder.
“Kevin Doherty, 46, was charged Monday with Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and two counts of Malicious Wounding, according to a press release from the Arlington, Va, Co. police department.
“The Washington Post provided more details about the attack, which was the second to befall Burkman over the past several months. An unidentified assailant attacked Burkman with pepper spray at his home in January.”
No matter the outcome of the impending investigation, there is no doubt that this incident only serves to reiterate the mystery surrounding the demise of Seth Rich.
