Gun control advocates have been pushing nationwide at the local, state and national levels for more gun control laws in response to the rash of shootings that have been taking place over the past year. They point fingers at Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs, Texas. They are pointing at the more than one dozen school shootings so far this month. Their voices are raised in unison that guns are the cause of all of the violence and shootings and that if we eliminated guns, the violence would be largely eliminated also
Consequently, several gun control measures were introduced into the Virginia House of Delegates. One of the bills was a call to ban bump-fire stocks.
However, all of the bills were killed in committee before ever reaching the floor for a vote.
(WTVR) – A House subcommittee shot down multiple gun control bills Thursday despite a tear-filled statement from a survivor of last fall’s Las Vegas shooting who urged legislators to ban bump stocks.
Cortney Carroll of Henrico County was one of several citizen lobbyists who attended the meeting of the Militia, Police and Public Safety subcommittee. She urged delegates to support HB 41, which aimed to ban the sale of bump stocks, devices that significantly increase the number of rounds that can be fired per minute.

Somehow, anti-gun Democrats believe that guns have a mysterious control over people and that if they take away all the guns, then people will behave better and get along with each other. They fail to realize that it’s not guns that are the problem, but a Godless society where an entire generation has no self-esteem, no set of core values and no hope. Consequently, they live for the moment and act the way they are taught in schools, on television and in the movies.
